Subjects Taught: Biology
At university I studied BSc Biology before completing a PGCE in Further Education. My teaching career began at Tresham as a teacher of Applied Science. I started teaching at the sixth form in August 2023 when it opened.
Why I Love Working at Corby Sixth Form:
I love working at the Corby Sixth Form, where we have a wonderful and supportive team. Everyone collaborates well and is always ready to help each other out. The students are fantastic, and it’s a joy to get to know them over the two years they study with us.
One of the best parts of teaching biology is exploring the subtopics in depth, from the different stages in photosynthesis, to how nephrons in the kidney work. I also love that we can get stuck into practical aspects of biology, e.g. heart dissections and enzyme experiments.
