Faculty Lead for STEM and Society | Raising Aspirations Coordinator

Currently, I teach all parts of the mathematics post-16 curriculum as well as computer science at The Corby Sixth Form. As a course manager, I play a pivotal role in the success of our students who study a wide range of our subjects.

Across both sixth forms within The Bedford College Group, I also lead on raising student aspirations by demystifying the Oxford and Cambridge application process, increasing awareness of Russell Group universities, and providing all students with opportunities to attend open days to local universities.

Julia Gaze
TEACHER OF PHILOSOPHY & CLASSICAL CIVILIZATION

My undergraduate degree was in Latin and English and I went on to study poetry and translation. I have published translations of Sappho and Catullus, and of later poets, such as Rilke and Baudelaire.

I am particularly interested in the Greek playwrights and have directed two Greek tragedies. My favourite philosopher is Plato, whose theories are still so relevant today.
