I completed my Cert Ed with the University of Huddersfield. I have been teaching at Corby Sixth since 2023 and prior to that, 2 years teaching as a L3 in SEND schools. Before moving into education, I trained in speech therapy and sign language. I also have several years experience working in behaviour units, specialising in SEND.
Why I Love Working at Corby Sixth Form:
The students at The Corby Sixth Form contribute significantly to the vibrant atmosphere of our institution. The Health and Social Care course is exceptionally diverse, and I am privileged to assist learners as they embark on their careers in healthcare and community service, nurturing the future generation of nurses and public servants.
As a passionate advocate for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a fluent British Sign Language (BSL) user, I leverage my industry expertise to ensure students receive the highest quality experience in the Health and Social Care program. Additionally, I have the opportunity to teach students sign language during enhancement sessions.
